Summary
What's going on at Camp Lover's Lake?
Cherie Buckley hasn't set foot in Hawkins since she graduated from high school. After two years in LA, she has returned to get herself together before the inevitable next chapter of her life begins. Taking a job as a camp counselor with her cousin, Robin, she is prepared to lay low and not stir up too much gossip. But, everything changes when she reconciles with an old classmate and a league of trouble-prone teens hell-bent on protecting their hometown.
1986 is Eddie Munson’s year. He somehow managed to clear his name and graduate high school all in a few months. Now that it’s summer, all he wants to do is run far away from Hawkins and hitch a flight across the pond to the Monsters of Rock music festival. In the meantime, flights cost money. And so do festival tickets. Reluctantly, he joins the camp staff of the newly rejuvenated Camp Lover’s Lake. While the location is less than ideal, the pay will suffice to fulfill his dreams of seeing Ozzy Osbourne perform in the flesh.
But there’s trouble brewing in Hawkins. Again. After the events of spring break, there are still creatures that linger around solely to drain the local campers of their summer fun.
