Flames seemed to dance on his insides, burning up his throat, in the depths of his stomach, raging in his heart and veins. Regulus felt weak, in more ways than one. Every shallow breath was like a blaze over his ribs, and the throbbing pain on his ankles and wrists never stopped, like he could feel the hands around his leg, grabbing and tightening, leaving dark bruises in their wake.
"Go on then. Tell me what happened."
"I nearly drowned."
"Well," he leered, looking Regulus up and down, taking in the soaking clothes and dripping hair. "That much is obvious."Regulus had been so close to death. So close, and no one had cared. So, when he had not the power, but the possibility, to change everything, was he prepared to just sit back?

Long haul Remus Lupin story, previously titled Shifting Lines. Book One covers his First Year at Hogwarts and all its ups and downs. Making friends, keeping his secret, and trying to cope with being in the real world for the first time in his life.
If you want to read the later books but not this one then I do have a summary of the story up!
The world of Shifting Lines will eventually include Wolfstar. Mostly canon with a few exceptions.
Please note there really should be a lot more tags but I dont want there to be a wall so I'm trying to keep it short. I took some of the fluffier tags. I mostly kept in the darker ones as warnings but I promise there is more than angst in this.
Also if the stuttering is annoying, I want to say that changes as Remus grows more comfortable with talking to people and by the second book he doesn't stutter a lot.

Summary
This is a collection of one shots that are from Four To The End (previously titled Shifting Lines). Most are scenes we have seen from Remus's POV but told in someone else's POV/have more to them. Some are scenes Remus has no idea about. I suppose you can read these if you have not read Four To The End but they may make more sense if you have. Also please note this is not part 4, when I publish book 4 this will be pushed to part 5 (end game this will be either part ten or eleven). Currently T rating but possibly will be M later depending.
IDK how often I’ll write these but I have a few in mind!!!

The Marauders are growing even closer but how are things going to change once they reveal they know his deepest secret? Navigating through the change of becoming a teenager, Remus begins to think he might have another secret, one that is very confusing to figure out for a young wizard in the 70s.

I also want to make it clear I do not agree with Rowling's views. This is a very pro-LGBT+ series, there will be a lot of queer characters once they're older. That being said, wizarding society in this is very anti-LGBT+. I will keep the hate to a minimum, but it will be a story where the characters are afraid to/cannot come out publicly.

Remus’s third year has him dealing with taking all the electives, his friends starting to date, and, in addition to the stress of being a werewolf, he’s also finally realized something about himself that he is slowly trying to accept. Which just brings on a whole new slew of problems.

I want to make it clear I do not agree with Rowling's views. I DO NOT AGREE WITH HER or anything she's been saying. While I am writing an HP fanfic, I do NOT promote her work or wish to give her money.
