Summary
Diluc is an alpha who bears the Firemane, crimson red hair that waves like flames, a mark of those favoured by the gods. A gifted fighter, he has spent his whole life striving to become a respected knight, rising through the ranks of the Vermilion Order with only one goal: to reveal himself to his father, the Phoenix King Crepus, and to win his approval.
On a dark night, both the king and his sons, the Lionheart princes, are slain in their beds by an agent of the enemy kingdom of Khaenri'ah. Their assassin is rumoured to be the Frost Prince Kaeya himself.
When the Order tries to bury the assassination to avoid outright war, Diluc quits in a rage and leaves to track down the Prince, determined to find proof of his crimes. As the battle-worn Diluc is on his last legs after all his leads have led him to nothing but dead ends, he is captured behind enemy lines and is given to Prince Kaeya as a war prize instead.
The sadistic prince takes a dark interest in the wilful alpha after he realises that he must be the sole remaining son of the slain King Crepus. He promises Diluc with a cold smile that he will ensure that Diluc will rule the Vermilion Kingdom in his rightful place: by Kaeya's side, as his omega queen.

France drags a finger across his forehead, brushing aside his messy, haybale bangs. “Are you awake?” he whispers. After a moment, England mutters something unintelligible, his words muffled by cotton. “Would you mind doing me a small favour?”
England cracks open a drowsy eye. “...You want me to attend to your adoring public?”
“Mm-hm.” France curls an arm around his bare waist. “It is important for me to get my beauty rest.”
“They’re your birds,” England murmurs.
“I can make it worth your while.” Leaning in, France kisses his neck. It would be very nice to stay like this for a long time, floating gracefully in oblivion, right on the shores of sleep and lust. His lids flutter shut, but then a thumb and forefinger find his nose and pinch it. France blinks.
“You’re daft,” England says with a smirk, “if you think that will work on me.”
