Summary
Klaus leaned down with his hands on his knees so they were at eye level. “Thing is, River, I don’t believe you. Everyone knows that you’re David Cartwright’s grandson and that the man used to spin yarns to you from the time you were a wee lad.”
River tried to think through the wall of pain but it was difficult to put coherent thought together. “Yarns,” he managed. “Stories. He didn’t, didn’t tell me…state secrets, for fuck’s sake.”

Summary
On his day off tomorrow, Jason will try to get the swelling on his eye down. He’ll try to sleep, cook, sleep some more, then wake up and go to work again, long hours in the hospital on his Ortho rotation. Jason doesn’t really have hobbies, besides fighting. He isn’t a person in any way that feels real. Somedays, he wonders if he ever had more than this. If he ever was more than this. It doesn’t seem likely.
He thinks a lot about divine punishment, and about who he was before, and about how, probably, he’ll never even find out.
OR
The new hospital fund, courtesy of the Waynes, swept through the hospital weeks ago. It’s meant more funding for facilities and for Jason’s patients. It’s helped their families stay alive and keep afloat. Jason himself is still drowning and paranoid, his forgotten past warring with his violent present, his day life warring with the night. Gotham’s underbelly is surfacing, dragging with it new faces, and old ones, too. Jason can't really trust the Bats or the Waynes or the gangs crawling out onto Gotham's streets. Maybe he can't trust anyone at all.

Summary
On the fourth day, it becomes clear that Joe is organizing something—more muscle than usual, a few more Black Mask affiliates than there should be. The few glimpses of Joe that Dick gets, he’s on his phone, speaking rapidly and gesturing emphatically.
On the fifth day, everything is quiet. No one comes, no one goes.
On the sixth day, Tim calls Dick: they’re not sure where Jason is. And yeah, maybe that’s just normal, and they’re not panicking yet. But they’re not sure where he is. And they’re about to start looking.
And on the seventh day, Bruce shows up at his door with Jason standing next to him, pale and hacking out a cough, putting too much weight on Bruce’s shoulder, and says: “I need to ask you a favor.”
OR
Dick is supposed to be on a boring stakeout assignment. Jason complicates that.
OR
“I’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU.” “IT’S ROTTEN WORK.” “NOT TO ME. NOT IF IT’S YOU.”

Summary
There was a familiar click-hiss, and Red Hood pulled his helmet off.
“You’re an imposter,” Grey said coolly, his eyes flickering to the rearview mirror.
“My actual brother,” Boss drawled, then, to the fake Red Hood, “Your hair stripe is coming out.”

Or: Red Hood’s gang, Red Hood’s family, and Jason Todd’s headache that comes and goes. …oh, here it comes again.Series
