Sexual tension is a bitch, ain't it?
Kaladin is repressed as all get out, trying very very hard to convince himself he isn't attracted to Adolin, and trying very very hard to ignore his continuing feelings for Shallan.
Adolin is only mostly past his crisis about being in love with both of them.
Shallan, for once, is doing perfectly fine. I love my girl, she needs to stop being put in hellish situations.

Summary
Seventeen years ago Dalinar was drunk in a bar and made formal oaths to (under VERY specific circumstances) marry Lin Davar's daughter.
And now those circumstances have been met and his poor choices have come back to bite him in the ass.
Dalinar plans to honor the oath while keeping Shallan's virtue intact.

Dalinar Kholin, I will retreat with my forces and forfeit this village to you—” she looks briefly at Dalinar to confirm the offer, then turns her gaze back to Kaladin. Kaladin shivers under the voidlight glow of her eyes. “—in exchange for an evening with your Highmarshal.”

Summary
