Author's Note: So, this is it. My breakout era for Stormlight fanfic! This collection is for my ongoing Kadolin saga, Sun & Storm.
The one where Kaladin and Adolin are too busy trying not to fall in love to notice they already have. It's a slow-burn, character-driven romance that lives in the space after the "will they/won't they," asking: "How in Damnation do they?"
I'm also brand new to AO3 and would LOVE to workshop narrative concepts with fellow Stormlight fanfic writers. Where does everyone usually hang out to chat about this stuff? Summary
Continuing on immediately after the events of RoW, the mission to Shinovar is a disaster and the contest of champions is void.
Kaladin is struggling with his growing responsibilities associated with his new appointment. New nightmares haunt his dreams and strange new abilities are an unravelling mystery as he draws closer to his fifth ideal.
Despite being in the middle of a war and Jah Keved royalty wanting to wed him, Kaladin finds himself slowly falling for someone else. Unwilling to jeopardise the fragile peace with Jah Keved their romance is instead kept secret.
Unfortunately, Kaladin never really was very good at deception.
When it is finally time to come clean Kaladin discovers he isn’t the only one keeping secrets. Hearing that he has a long-lost family member Kaladin seeks them out to reconnect but only time will tell if this was a blessing or a curse.

But Kaladin is nothing if not a curious man. . .PS: you don’t need to have read rhythm of war or wind and truth to read this. It’s completely lighthearted, with no spoilers (I think). Just slightly related to another AU I'm writing, which you also don’t need to read to read this.
