Summary
As though attempting to fill a freshly cut hole, a ghost has taken up residence in Alpha Rose’s manor after the suspicious death of her adoptive parents. Lonely and haunted, she is left with the oldest question in the book. The only question that ever merited being asked by anybody:
“Who you gonna call?”
Nine years of struggle against the Condesce later, an era defining novelist recalls her serendipitous run-in with the retired comedian whom their fishy invader raised as an heir. This piece serves as Intermission 1 of Deicide and its Consequences, but works just fine as a stand-alone.
