That's when the thoughts began. Thoughts of possessing David, making him slit his wrists, deep enough this time, or overdose on those Godforsaken pills he took every night to keep the tremor out of his hands, thoughts of possessing Lawrence and making him turn himself in for his murder. It'd satisfy the anger in him, sure, but it didn't give him what he wanted. What was it he wanted? Fuck if he knew. A cigarette. The chance to sleep. Love. Happily ever after. Maybe something along those lines.
So, if God wouldn't give him his happy ending, he'd take matters into his own hands and give it to himself.

Every night I wake up in a panic and have to brush and floss my teeth like my life depends on it for at least ten minutes. I swear I’m still spitting up little wings.
