Summary
The Hadal Blacksite operates in tandem with a writhing ecosystem that only expands with every wave of clueless expendables sent to their doom. It thrives off the push and pull of its own rapid decay, and the absurdities that come with it.
The facility houses a food chain which leaves the expendables at rock-bottom. Even the parasites infesting the dark waters hold more leverage than the criminals who throw themselves at death's door.
Yet, there remains an unknown variable: a shopkeeper who holds the power to make or break any expendable's attempt at getting the crystal. A saboteur who uses the enemy's methods for his own.
It starts with a discount, and ends with a sawed-off double barrel shotgun pointed at your skull.
…at least, you thought it ended there. For now, Sebastian seems pretty interested in keeping you around.

Summary
A low hum coated the room, thick and stagnant. The expendable’s footsteps echoed throughout the chasm, slowly approaching the crystal. Her hands were shaky, but her composure was kept. Nova still couldn’t believe that this was real, the pain that was thrashing throughout her body, however, was very real. She had come into contact with a very determined wall-dweller who had given her quite a struggle. Limping slightly, she approached the crystal tentatively. It was surprisingly bright, yet it still could not illuminate the bottom of the pit looming below her feet, separated by only metal and the very little will to live she had left. She approached a console, littered with buttons and levers.
“I can’t let you leave here with that.”
"Sebastian?"

Do you deserve this? No.
Maybe?
No, no, of course not.
Not like that really matters, as you stand before death’s door. Trapped within the Hadal Blacksite after a security breach and lockdown left all employees dead as doornails, you can’t really call yourself lucky when you somehow end up as the sole survivor.
What’s even worse is that the only other things left in the facility are creatures that absolutely hate your guts, and only wish to spill your blood for your association to the company.
Everything’s fine. You’re still kicking, you’ve still got your uses. You will see the sun again. If you’re going down, you’ll go down kicking and screaming.
Unfortunately, none of the things down here are going to make escape very easy for you.
