Summary
The last thing Lea saw when she closed her eyes in the Rose Garden was the corpse of the gray-haired stranger. The last thing she felt was grief. She and her mysterious companion had failed, and Romeo would pay the price just as Carlo had before. She had been living a nightmare which had finally come to its bloody, bitter end.
It must have been a nightmare. Why else would she have woken up?
Meanwhile, P awoke to a Krat even more foreign to him than the one he'd seen in Lea's time. This bright, thriving city had yet to experience the worst of its troubles. And with the Carlo of this time still alive and well, P realized he could keep it that way. Alone, it would be a difficult fight. Luckily, someone who had lived those same nightmares was just as determined to keep them from ever coming to pass.
Time travel fix-it in an AU where Lea and P lost to Arlecchino

Summary
The Hermit's Cave didn't offer the most comfortable accommodations, but it was a relatively safe place to rest and recover while the group planned their next move. The reprieve gave Romeo time to think, Carlo time to overthink, and P time to adjust to the dynamic developing between the three of them.
Romeo POV interlude taking place between chapters 7 and 8 of Beneath Some Happier Star; best read after chapter 8.

Summary
The Thing, though. The boy-shaped Thing.
The Thing is not a metal almost-person, not like Spring is used to. But it is most certainly not a human, either. It's unsettling to look at, somewhere between a corpse long-dead and a carapace long-shed, and it doesn't act like anything living or almost-living Spring has ever met. Most infuriating of all is that the Lady seems to like the Thing, despite how unnatural it is! She welcomes it into Spring’s hotel like a guest and talks to it like a person.
The nerve of it all. The betrayal.
Spring's hotel has an intruder. It's not quite human, but maybe it's trying to learn how to be one. Spring POV of P from the start of the game until after the King of Puppets fight.

Summary
“What should I call you in the meantime, I wonder.” Shadowheart has turned her back to it, turning over a nearby corpse and trying to pry its sword from its rigid fingers. “Hey, you?”
“Anything is fine,” it says.
“Anything it is, then,” she replies dryly. “Where to next, Anything?”
It realizes after a moment that she is joking with it. Like it’s a person. Like it’s a friend.
It settles over it like an ill-fitting coat that it nonetheless finds quite comfortable. She can call it whatever she wants, as long as she also calls it her friend.
Something nameless wakes up on the Nautiloid. Something named learns to exist in the body he shares with it.

Summary
“I want you in my mouth,” Oleander whispers against Astarion’s cool skin. “I want my teeth in you. I want to rip you apart and swallow.” He mouths toothlessly at Astarion’s neck. “I want you inside of me.”
“Well,” Astarion says, hand stilling in Oleander’s hair. “That’s not usually what people mean when they say that to me.”
Astarion indulges one of Oleander's more unusual desires.
