Summary
High Sage Kenji blesses Fire Prince Zuko with the resilience of the reed, who bends in the wind and never breaks. When he is done, Fire Prince Ozai narrows his eyes, seemingly displeased by this blessing. But Kenji does not speak for himself; he is only a vessel.
-
The newly-crowned Fire Lord Ozai offers his firstborn son to service in the temple.
This turns out to be a catastrophic mistake.

Summary
Sokka abruptly pauses in his steps and turns back to Zuko. “Okay so here's the problem - everyone thinks we’re clowns because we allegedly got hitched at a joint Taco Bell slash wedding chapel,”
“You mean we did get hitched at a Taco Bell joint slash wedding chapel...”
“Not helping,” Sokka clips, “and what I’m trying to say is it would look worse if we came back, post annulment and look even more like idiots.”
Okay you’ve completely lost me now...”
Sokka moves to sit on the bed. “What I’m trying to say is...what if we just stayed married?”
“I--What?”
Or:
After a night of complete clownery, Sokka and Zuko end up very married and very hungover.
To make matters worse, they hatch a scheme of a fake relationship in order to avoid the embarrassment from their friends and family.
Except the further they fall into it, Sokka soon realises that maybe loving Zuko is one of the easiest things he can do.
A story about mood rings and the people who wear them.

Summary
Zuko had never excelled at anything. Azula was a prodigy. Uncle always knew what to say. And Father... Father was strong, iron-like. But Zuko had only ever been good at surviving. Putting one foot in front of the other in a grim show of stubborn determination, gritting his teeth and bearing it. Survival was all he had ever been taught. He knew how to do it. So when he was kidnapped by the Southern Water Tribe, he expected to fight as he always had. He didn’t expect to be taught instead how to live.
In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.
Forced back into nothing but survival, the last person Zuko expected to see was Hakoda's son. Hakoda was a promise of safety. The relentless blue of Sokka’s eyes was a promise of happiness. Zuko could have both if he just reached out his hands, but he found them clutching into fists. After all, he’d been burned one too many times.
But hey, at least between Hakoda and Sokka, Zuko could appreciate the family resemblance of pure, asinine stubbornness.

Summary
“I’m looking for my friends!”
The guy gasped and shot at him, clearly taken off guard. He missed and, rather than taking another shot at him, visibly froze; a normal stress response from a novice gunman. A relatively sad one, given the circumstances.
“Two demons and an angel. One’s a redhead, one’s mute, and the other is my husband. Have you seen any of them?”
Yellow placed his gun against the guy's helmet and pushed until he tripped backwards and fell, dropping his weapon in the process. Yellow crouched to get in his face and, feeling the slight tremble below him, let his grin stretch wide.

This took me 4.5 years to finish so writing style noticeably changes as the story progresses. Forgive me.
