The locker room is quiet when Andrew walks in. Most of the players are already gone, celebrating their win like it’s their first. Kevin is on press duty with Knox and Moreau, so Andrew has a rare moment of peace.
It’s the first time he acknowledges the agony shooting up from his right knee. He doesn’t take his gear off immediately. He leans forward, puts his forearms on his knees and lets everything settle into stillness. Movement hides things, stillness exposes them.-or-
Andrew injures his knee during the Olympics in South Lake City and needs physical therapy.
