Andrew stared at his phone as it rang. He was in the process of opening a can of cat food, which was a two-handed activity. He set down the can opener and picked up the phone.
“What,” he said.

Andrew knew Neil’s real name, and he knew where he had come from. He’d known since the beginning. Neil was a good liar, but he was an obvious liar. Andrew didn't mention any of that to Kevin. Instead, he said, “Who?”or: andrew quits smoking, and he goes to the olympics. eventually, neil comes back.

Or, for two and a half years, Aaron has been grieving the brother he buried, only to learn now, that Andrew is very much alive. He also has a scarred little shithead in tow, that Aaron wants to punch in the face regularily. Life is fun like that.

Neil wonders if Andrew will taste all that is wrong with Neil when he kisses him. He wonders if Andrew will recognize it. Andrew knows what it is to hurt himself, and this must be familiar. It’s deja vu, Neil thinks, if only a little bit worse, a little more terrible.
Neil shakes his head, groaning into the toilet, “I don’t want to tell you.”
Andrew pulls out his phone, and Neil can already hear it dialling when he says, “You can tell the paramedics.”

Summary
In November 1966, Tilda Minyard gave birth in Hawkins National Laboratory, Indiana, to identical twins. Andrew (003) was given to the lab as part of their ongoing experiments and Aaron was returned to Tilda to raise in town on the condition she returned annually for him to be tested, as an experimental control group.
In November 1983, Aaron has no idea that he has a brother but is desperate to make it out of Hawkins as soon as he graduates high school. No one has called Andrew by in his name in three years since he helped 002 escape the lab and hearing that his twin is missing and his mother abused him sends his powers dangerously out of control. Kevin has been living a precarious lie since escaping the lab and finding his biological father. He’d promised Andrew to protect his brother but Aaron had disappeared. Neil is new in town with an agenda of his own. Nicky comes back for his cousin at great personal risk. Renee is trying to protect her friends. The rest of the swim team is just along for the ride.

Riko grinning with vicious pleasure as he slices Neil open. Riko’s eyes reflecting the glow of the lighter licking Neil’s skin. Riko laughing as a tattoo gun needle digs into Neil’s cheek.
Riko, Riko, Riko, smothering and impossible to escape. Panic knifes through Neil as he yanks uselessly against the handcuffs. No, no, no —
And then he’s saying it aloud, “No, no, no,” because there isn't a gag cutting into the sides of his mouth. Because Neil isn’t at Evermore. He’s at home with Andrew, who’s right there when Neil opens his eyes — only near the foot of the bed now, not touching Neil at all.
Neil has long gotten used to reading the faint shades of emotion that pass for expressions on Andrew’s face. But never, not even in Andrew's medicated, manically expressive days, has Neil seen Andrew wear anything like his current look of horrified shock.
Neil agrees to try the handcuffs in bed. It goes badly. Cue angst and h/c.

"You find me appealing," Neil rephrased. "You like to look at me. Think I'm 'hot' as Nicky says."
Andrew grits his jaw. Nicky's advice was distasteful and Neil found himself clinging to it just to piss Andrew off. He wasn't wrong this time.
"It's called sexual attraction."
Basically Andrew and Neil have a little misunderstanding about how Andrew feels. Its angsty and sweet and ends happily :)
