Summary
Despite the gentleness of the atmosphere, there was still an ever-present weight of sadness to the people who stood gathered in this meadow.
They stood, shoulders hunched and with grief in their eyes, around a body. A dead body. The body of someone who had died too soon, who had given up before they were even an adult.
Tommy hadn’t expected this to be what happened when he died. Truthfully, he hadn’t even expected anyone to find his body this soon.
It had only been one day. He’d thought it would’ve been at least two weeks until they’d cared enough to look for his body.
It turns out he’d been wrong.

Or, Tommy is convinced nobody cares about him, so he decides to commit suicide.
But as a ghost, he becomes trapped watching his family and friends grieve more than he thought possible.

Summary
Tommy couldn’t remember how long he’d been stuck in this cage.
It was made of golden metal, solid as a rock at the bottom before twisting into thick bars made to look like tree branches on the rounded sides. The bars met smoothly at the top, all of the fake branches intertwining together.
He couldn’t remember how long it had been since he’d seen real tree branches either.
His wings itched at even the mere thought of anything outside his cage. The trees, the clouds, the sky, all of it. They fluttered uselessly within their bindings, as if Tommy had any ability to fly away from his prison.

Or, Tommy is an avian with golden wings, who is passed from owner to owner as a display piece. He is locked in a cage and is isolated, never allowed to speak to anyone.
That is, until Antarctic Emperors Philza and Technoblade are accidentally given Tommy as a gift.
Immediately, they free him and hurt/comfort and found family take place.Series

Summary
Tommy wailed in agony, the harsh impact and unforgiving cold against his back was a horrible pain he had not yet experienced. Even falling had not hurt this bad.
He cried and chattered for his sire to come for him, but there was only emptiness when he reached out.
“ Oh .”
The word was like a gentle breeze flowing through forest leaves— a sort of symphony in and of itself, reverent and gentle.
The fingers around his neck relaxed until Tommy could hardly feel them anymore. He still keened and whined his displeasure, his sensitive nerves pulsing shockwaves of pain throughout his entire body.
“Oh, hello,” The prey turned predator greeted gently. “I am sorry, little one. I did not mean to hurt you.”
Tommy cracked open a stinging eye to see blazing red ones and glittering fangs before him. It was a predator like him, but older. Much older.
