Summary
When Mark chooses the cigarette, Donghyuck chooses the shotgun, and when Mark takes his time decorating the air with clouds of grey smoke, Donghyuck fires in a hurry, like he’s running out of time, like the rounds will disintegrate if he doesn’t. He doesn’t mean to hurt him, Mark knows it, he just has to shoot somewhere. At someone. And Mark just always happens to be around, just within reach, a magnetic pull on the gunpowder. Mark doesn’t know if Donghyuck loves him from the heart or the muzzle of his gun but he’ll take it either way.

Summary
Hyuck stares down at the blanket twisted in his lap.
And then, so quietly it could almost be a breath,“…I’m scared.”
Mark’s fingers brush against his cheek, and he whispers,
“Don’t worry, I’ll be here Hyuck, for as long as you’ll need me.”

Summary
The rosary bites into Mark’s palm, but his thoughts are not of God, not of his vows to his wife but instead are of him
Lee Donghyuck.
The bane of Mark’s already trembling catholic faith.
Bent over in front of him in the tightest pair of jeans.
Mark hates him.
Still, he stares, aches and craves desperately.Bookmarked by ssprnkl

Summary
There is something so very human in making mistakes. We’re not meant to be perfect, aren’t made for it. So what if their relationship isn’t all prim and proper? So what if they’re fucked up, damaged beyond repair? It shouldn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.
So long as it’s love, what does it matter if it’s beaten up and bruised.
or;
A collection of memories of Mark and Donghyuck’s love story. A broken mosaic of a broken relationship.

Summary
Donghyuck removes the flower crown from his head.
He knows Mark still stares at the Bible verse in his wallet. He knows Mark takes the brunette girl from orchestra out to the movies at least once a week. Donghyuck knows all of this. Every day behind their lingering tension, Mark still acted on faith, showing the world his righteousness while Donghyuck just waited. He waited and waited and waited till the day Mark would realize and give in to his own heart, but it never came. It's not today, with this confession, it wasn't this morning over his shitty, burnt fried rice, and it won't be tomorrow, when he comes back home late after dinner with that girl, begging to crash at Donghyuck's place because he didn't feel like walking all the way down the road back to his own house.
He undoes the last knot, and pulls out the last flower from the chain.

Summary
“Hey, I’m here,” Mark’s voice comes through the phone speaker. The sound is so familiar, yet different, and at this point Donghyuck’s convinced he’s having some weed-induced fever dream. Mark is calling him, telling him he’s outside just like he always did at his family home, his classes, his dorm. As if nothing ever happened. Donghyuck is sure his actual dreams have sounded just like this, but now that it’s real, he doesn’t quite know if he can handle it.
(or: Donghyuck wants nothing to do with Mark after a high slip up cost them their friendship. The universe seems to have other plans when his old friend's new job brings them right back together.)
