As if dealing with school, an innocent crush on his roommate, and a storm-heavy summer wasn't enough, he's dragged into an ancient rivalry with the spoiled kids from the next town over.George spends his days with private tutors and french philosophers, and with waiting for something interesting to finally happen.
Maybe he didn't expect that thing to be a handsome, awkward giant with perpetually dirty fingernails, but he'll take what he can get - for as long as he can get it.Or -
George is rich and bored, Dream is just trying to get through college.

George has a secret he doesn’t want to keep and a crush he hates himself for.A tentative, uncharacteristic story of George trying to deal with being a lone Englishman somewhere in Virginia, while struggling with passing college, pretending to be straight, and dealing with the way everyone seems to be so obsessed with some weird athlete, who just so happens to suddenly start taking the same minor as him.

George lives in a small town in the Swiss Alps, his parents own a hotel. It's the winter before he'll graduate and he's resolved to spend as much of it skiing with his friends as possible.
When Dream, the son of a rich couple who have frequented the town for the past ten years, shows up with a few friends to stay in his parents' ski lodge, all five of them being reckless and rude snowboarders, a rivalry between the local skiiers and the spoiled kids breaks out.

In 2014 Dream is fourteen-turning-fifteen and spends his days writing letters to Birdie, a boy who lives halfway across the world that he's never met, but knows understands him better than anyone.
In 2022 it's spring in Venice, and Dream is on the cusp of turning twenty three. It's April when he meets George, a complete stranger who knows nothing about him, but somehow convinces Dream to be his fake boyfriend in order to avoid the prospect of an arranged marriage, as well as rebel against his mother's relentless expectations. Shenanigans ensue.

Summary
“You’re such an idiot,” George mumbles, just loud enough that it’s there but not enough that Dream could hear him from across the marsh. Dream smiles wider, though, face-splitting, like he knows what George said anyway, like the shape of the words on his mouth is so familiar Dream could pick it out from across the world.
“C’mon!” Dream yells. “C’mon, Georgie, c’mon!” and George really can’t help but smile back at that, taking off toward him like he’s gravitating, flying over the ground like he’s invincible too because summer made him so.
He screams into the air and everything screams back, all whoops and whistles and just them, Dream and George, out for blood, out for summer.
