Summary
“You’re up early,” Renee says.
Andrew doesn’t look up from his drink. “Am I.”
Her gaze flicks to the small bowl in front of Andrew’s mug. Sunflower seeds.
A finger and thumb reaching down, lifting to his mouth, then a crack between teeth. Then another. And another.
“New habit?” she asks gently.
He glances up. “No.”
She waits, patient, quiet in her calm. Waiting for Andrew to elaborate.
“Breaking an old one.” Andrew says finally. He looks like he already regrets answering.

A short-ish one of all the times people notice that something's off with Andrew but no one really knows why. Some quitting smoking angst.
Wymack being full dadmack and seeing straight through him. I just love Wymack and Andrew's dynamic ok.

Summary
It’s harder to forget Laila has Andrew’s number after that, because Jean walks in on her sobbing in the bedroom.
“Home,” she stutters out as a fumbling explanation, and she feels rather than sees the way Jean freezes. When he crouches down to sit next to her, it is stilted, awkward in the way Jean always is. “He called it home.”
Laila Dermott and Andrew Minyard discover they have more in common than one might think, and somehow form a friendship.
Or, as Cody would say, “Laila becomes besties-for-the-resties with Andrew Minyard.”

Summary
Neil has seen them.
As much as everyone assumes that Neil isn’t observant, he notices things. It’s not that he’s unobservant -- though he, admittedly is when it comes to romantic attraction -- it’s that he notices things, but if it’s not his business, then he’s not going to comment on it or bring it to attention. Why does he need to?
Andrew is the same way, though the two of them often comment on something they noticed if they suspect the other did. However, this situation is different. Because it’s Neil noticing something about Andrew.
Something that Andrew hasn’t shown Neil, let alone opened up to him about it. So it takes a while for him to decide on what to do when he finds the notebook, or sketchbook maybe, in the back of the drawer while searching for a pair of Andrew’s sweats. But he, ultimately, decides to gently leave it alone, grab a pair of black sweats he figures Andrew won’t miss, and moves on.
...
Neil finds out about Andrew's hobby of drawing, initially to cope with his trauma and depression, then as genuine enjoyment. 5 times Neil gets to see Andrew drawing in secret, and 1 time the rest of the team find out.

Andrew shuts his phone without leaving a voicemail. He drops his phone onto the counter and slips a knife out of its sheath.
Right before spring break during his fourth year at Palmetto, Andrew Minyard attempts suicide. Now everyone has to figure out how to move forward from here.
