Summary
He intertwined their hands together, connected only by them and the wire of the earphones, yet becoming one and same thing as his room got darker and darker, sun casting it's last spells on Hyunjin before moon took over it's duty, them not sharing a word, eyes never leaving, caressing one another's hands, silence so loud yet calming between them, lulling Hyunjin to sleep along with tunes of whatever music was playing.
the original ending i wrote for ''inspire me, i already know all about you" that didn't match the style of the story at all, but i like it enough to post it separately; can be read separate from the main story

It was always so easy to get lost in domesticity of it all, Jeongin in belief that nothing would change if they became lovers, only a few perks here and there. He could get lost in the play-pretends so easily, all that separated it from real life being the lack of ability to kiss the other man. But for as long as he was allowed, Jeongin would slip into that state of mind without as much as a sigh of protest, his favourite headspace to be in, his place of comfort. If he never gets to live that life in the reality, he hopes to be able to slip into it in his final moments and deem that his place of rest, the only other possibility of letting him die even remotely happy.
Or, Jeongin is deeply in love with his roommate, but it's okay because he's a hopeless romantic anyway.
Boys in love, a lot of Sun and devotion for the guy he calls his everything.

The smile he got in response was everything he could've ever asked for. Eyes squinted so much they seemed to be closed, teeth slightly showing - he felt as if his heart was going to jump out of his chest, it was beating so fast.
The only thing that would make it even better was if he could take a picture and put it as his wallpaper.
Or if he could kiss him.
