Her legs are already moving, tearing toward a nearby police car. The officers are scattered, shouting orders, chasing the Hyde, clearing the ward. No one stops her. Agnes slips into the passenger seat with a smug little grin. Somewhere behind them, a voice shouts for them to stop, but it’s swallowed by the pounding in her head and the distant wail of sirens.
