Summary
Yoongi leans close, closer, their mouths nearly fucking touching. Namjoon’s fingers dig in-between the gaps of Yoongi’s ribs. “Suran can’t come,” he repeats, loud, breath ghosting over Namjoon’s skin, heavy with spicy whiskey and cigarette smoke. “Too late.”
Namjoon leans even closer, and this time there’s no where else to go; their lips are officially touching. “Sucks,” Namjoon slurs. And before his useless fucking brain can decide what to do about this sudden development, Yoongi appears to have a better handle on reality than he does, because Yoongi’s kissing him, little puckers of his lips against Namjoon’s that would make smacking sounds if the club wasn’t so god damn loud.
He lets Yoongi do it. The hand over Yoongi’s ribs rub down to his hips, then up again, over and over, unable to be seen since it’s happening underneath his jacket. Adrenaline and pure joy seems to be affecting both of them, not just Namjoon; they’ve never experienced this level of success in the past four years of building a cheap excuse of a career.

Maybe serendipity has been less about finding someone else when she’d been least expecting it, and more about finding herself when she thought there was nothing left to find.

Jimin glanced at the event on the screen. It advertised the line up at a local club.
The first name he didn't recognize, then J-Hope, then... Runch Randa.
What the fuck.

He teased Jungkook for his crestfallen looks when Taehyung chose another team, when he wouldn’t come watch Jungkook play video games, when he got the chance to leave practice early and actually did. “Give the poor kid a break,” Yoongi broke in at one point. “He won’t always get one.” Jungkook is older now, much more experienced at self-censorship. His voice has this odd timbre, dark and a little low, and he’s good-naturedly ribbing Jimin with this bright, rectangular smile, strands of blue hair in his eyes, and suddenly Jungkook feels dizzy. He redirects his gaze to his bag, tries to remember what he was even pretending to search for.
Jungkook really isn’t looking for a crush. First of all because he tends to fall too hard, and he’s trying not to be that way anymore. And second of all because he needs to focus on this new program—to find his bearings, prove that he belongs. He doesn’t need any distractions. So this thing, where this guy he doesn’t know is ruffling Jimin’s hair and making Jungkook feel fluttery—it’s not ideal.
