The woman smiled. And it wasn’t a pretty smile, but it was very eye-catching. It looked great next to that studded collar she was wearing. She felt her face heat up for all the wrong reasons.
“Well, it just so happens that I’m a doctor. A lonely doctor. So I can’t just ignore a sick person if I see one. Why don’t you stop by my clinic instead of heading straight home?”
The train had arrived. Had she been so lost in that smile that she hadn’t noticed? Huh. She peered at the identification card being displayed for her. Takemi Tae, Doctor. The lamination job was shoddy and had she described herself as lonely?
