Summary
It's been ten months since the fall of the Last City. Ten months of trying to rebuild their lives, living in safety and trying to move on. Ten months of trying to heal from losses that feel too big to heal from. But at least Wicked is gone and they're free now.
But then someone shows up bearing news that change everything and the Gladers and their friends go off onto one last rescue mission.

When Thomas, exhausted from a long day, orders a pizza and accidentially tells the guy taking his order 'I love you' while saying goodbye, he certainly didn't expect the guy on the other end of the line to say it back on instinct. And he certainly didn't think he would gain a new friend like this. A new friend who also happens to be just about the most beautiful person Thomas has ever laid his eyes on who's also incredibly kind and talented and wonderful and smart. A new friend who he keeps up the habit with of jokingly telling each other 'I love you'.
Yep, Thomas is so done for.
