Summary
Cafe Miroh is always busiest in the winter. When the cold air settles into the city, it seems like all of New York rushes to the cafe, hoping for their fix of a warm meal or a steaming hot tea. It’s located in Lower Manhattan, where the streets are lined with various shops and establishments offering goods of all sorts, and Jisung finds he’s never had a dull moment since he moved. There are frequent customers to take care of, gigs to perform, the constant battle with the chilly weather.
It’s…a lot.
He supposes that can’t be helped. Sure, life gets chaotic sometimes. But Jisung has always thrived in places where he can perform, for the moments where he’s able to stop feeling so small in such a large world. It’s all worth it.

Jisung smiles shyly, eyes flickering up to meet his and darting away again. He opens his mouth to say something. Closes it. He presses his lips together and lets out a light exhale.
He finally looks up, makes direct eye contact with Minho.

Summary
Xiao had made peace with the end of his role as an adeptus. He’d been prepared to move on, to build a new life with Aether in the peaceful world they’d worked toward, but when the final battle leads to the deaths of both twins, he’s forced to confront what his life is without Aether and without the need for him to protect Liyue anymore. Two thousand years later, he’s still trying to figure things out when he meets Aether’s reincarnation—a Liyuen mortal with no memory of his past life.
Aether is just a college student, trying his best to work towards his graduation alongside his sister, when strange and ominous dreams start to haunt him. These foreboding feelings are only made worse when he meets a strange man at a history museum, visiting the same exhibit as him: one dedicated to the gods and adepti of years long past. The sense of familiarity he feels from the stranger leads him to seek out the meaning behind his dreams and the secrets hidden beneath them.

“Aether and I aren’t dating, though.”
Everyone looks at him, their expressions mirroring his.
“What do you mean,” Yanfei asks slowly, putting her cards face down on the table, “when you say ‘you and Aether aren’t dating’?”
Xiao watches her fold her hands together in front of her as if she’s getting ready to hear his defense in a mock trial and take serious mental notes. “Exactly that,” he says.
There’s a short silence, and then Ajax says, “Wooooow.”
“I’m sorry, I thought — I’m sorry,” comes Ganyu’s sheepish apology. “I just assumed.”
“It’s fine.” And really it is, because it’s not the worst assumption to be made about him, and he’s had to dispel this kind of rumour before.
