Summary
It was a mix of all things, of late-night calls with him laughing bright and happy and then wilting the moment the calls ended. Of sitting alone in his dining room table convincing himself to eat. Of listening to his best friend speak and knowing he’d never be loved back. Unrequited love hurt more than heartbreak; he knew. He’d broken up and had been broken up with, but the sting and momentary sadness of mourning an end never compared to mourning something that would never begin.

“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

Max likes Checo, but doesn’t think Checo likes him. Until he sees that they won a ‘couple goals’ award at a Latin American awards ceremony. As one does, Max comes to the conclusion that he and Checo have been dating all this time and he had not realised because of cultural differences. Feeling bad, he resolves to be the best boyfriend ever from then on.
And where better to start than by showing off their relationship at the Goodwood Festival!
