The first time Juvia sees him, he's walking into class, top half literally bare. He's immediately sent back out the door by the professor, who— upon grazing his figure with his eyes— reduces into a stuttering, indignant mess.
The whole class titters at the incident (making the blushing professor much more furious), but they forget about it quickly, going back to their notes, chatting up their next-seat neighbours.
Juvia doesn't forget. He was handsome. Very handsome. She might even be in love.

His eyes flicker upwards, then to his right.
He doesn't really know what to think now. Hermione Granger stands there before him, sporting a nice new cut, and the same expression she always gave him when he didn't insult her first before speaking to her- but the look's different. Softer.
Then, that's when he wonders why she said 'Draco', instead of 'Malfoy' or 'Ferret', or his favourite, 'Traitorous Asshat of a Snake'.
She's never called him the last. But he expects it- even though he wants think better of her, and himself too.

"Was the first time as fun as now?" Hilde asks, trying her best to not sound as sarcastic as she feels.
But Thor starts chuckling, a low rumble that almost sounds warm.
"With my brother? Never. But it was an exception when we got stuck."
Hilde cocks her head. "Why?"
"Tossed him through the glass. I mean, we were only on the second floor and it was after hours so one would get hurt below. Told him to get help, I was still stuck in the elevator but he just flipped me off and ran away." Thor snickers. "I was stuck there for four more hours before someone noticed the mess and me."
