Hypnos drifted round the desk to stand at Hades' side, where he was half-hidden by the huge desk. Out of sight of the shades in the hallway, Hades put one hand on the soft skin behind Hypnos' knee, and traced his fingers up and down. "Are you quite alright, Hypnos?"
They were well-matched: Hypnos craved reassurance and praise, and wanted to have someone make the decisions for him; Hades needed to feel powerful, to be worthy of respect at a time when it felt as though he was rapidly losing his grip on everything.
Or: Hypnos has some doubts, and Hades helps his lover to clear his head.
