It was different to the brief, sweet brush of lips that they usually reserved for saying goodnight to each other, pressed against temples or foreheads without fear of crossing a line into genuine intimacy. It was different even to the unconscious kiss Jimin had pressed into his wrist earlier in thanks, more insistent, more present, more demanding somehow.
He whispered Jimin’s name into the darkness with a quiet sort of desperation, hoping to draw his attention away into conversation, to coax him into doing literally anything else that didn’t make him feel like he was about to pass out or die or some terrifying, impossible combination of the two.

Such is a challenge the greatest philosophers have stumbled upon for centuries now, all with their different visions. If the Greeks could not figure it out, I certainly cannot. I have no ambition to.
