Orion knew instantly that he had made a mistake because Nineveh stopped rifling to stare fixedly at his face. They watched him with all the predatory focus he usually associated with their practice sessions, eyes fixed on him, expression unreadable.
“Is there something you want to tell me?” she asked, and Orion’s panic intensified.
