Shoyo shouts, jumping right back up as soon as his feet brush the ground. Tobio screams too, running over. He doesn't even realize what he's doing until he's hoisting Shoyo up, one arm wrapped securely around his waist to raise him in the air as the smaller man pumps his hand in victory.
Shoyo looks down at him, a sparkle in his brown eyes that Tobio had longed for. His heart is pounding in his chest. When was the last time he'd been this excited over a volleyball game? Over their quick attack? He couldn't even remember, because in this moment, it truly didn't matter.
"My eyes weren't open," Shoyo whispers, his cheeks flushed pink. "I trusted you. I haven't trusted anyone like that in a while."
Or, Hinata Shoyo returns from Brazil a month earlier than planned, and has one Kageyama Tobio wrapped entirely around his finger.

Natalie can taste blood. Iron. Rich and metallic. Her hands still pressed to Lottie's bleeding thigh, and she can feel it gathering in the center of her palm. Lastly, she can feel Lottie. "Why should I? You're the first to ever break in," Keigo supplied, unfolding his legs and moving to the edge of his counter.
"I'll make it a habit if you don't," it's almost a threat, Keigo thinks, as Dabi lurks closer. Something in his mind screams danger and begs him to run or fight. Instead, he stays still right where he was.

“What did I do?” she asks into the silence, as Rumi’s hand sneaks its way onto her bare thigh and her thumb rubs into supple flesh.
“Nothin’,” Rumi mutters, her ears flicking up. Her tail twitches a little, which is how Fuyumi knows she’s lying. She knew her best friend.
“There’s obviously something,” Fuyumi sighs, “Please, let me fix it.”
Rumi stares at her long and hard, eyes going from her eyes to her lips to her nose then back to her eyes. “You mean it?” she looked almost upset with her, an unappealing mix of anger and disbelief on her face. Fuyumi wanted to wipe that away. She wanted the familiar wide smile and sparkling eyes that she'd grown so accustomed to over the months.
“Of course,” Fuyumi isn’t sure what she’d do if Rumi stayed mad at her.
What she wasn’t expecting was for Rumi to kiss her.
Or, Todoroki Fuyumi meets Usagiyama Rumi a couple years back, and realizes there are so many compelling things about the woman she's too afraid to dive into because it may just reveal something about herself she doesn't want to show.
