Summary
His feet hurt from walking through the snow all day. He’d been marching on for almost 6 months now, rucksack thrown over his shoulder, gun on his back, toolbelt on his hip. He still wore his uniform. He didn’t wear the flag, though. President Trunk had solidified his disdain for his homeland after he picked a fight with the Russians. He just had to pick a fight with the fucking Russians. Well, the Russians struck back. Then the North Koreans joined. China backed them up. Half the middle east. It was the USA and her allies VS the rest of the world- a dick measuring contest of who had the bigger bomb. The USA dropped two nukes on Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The USA started the fight. Russia most certainly finished it.
Things were… strange, when that happened. Everyone expected a massive explosion when it touched ground in D.C.. Instead, it just… folded in on itself. He’d heard rumors from other rogue soldiers he’d met along his journey. He went AWOL after Trunk ordered the erasure of Afghanistan–a few other troops did, too. It was only a few days after that it happened.
