    Summary

Damara is sitting with half a lunch table all to herself, working her way through a pile of fruit cups. She has bruises on all her knuckles, a totally illegal cigarette tucked behind one ear, and is just basically incredibly scary.

“Hi!” you say, sitting down beside her. “Hello there. Good morning. I’m Jade. Nice to meet you. How about this weather, huh?”

“Join our coven!” Feferi says, because she is a prime time dorkus.

You think that probably every woman here has the same resume. Has been waiting, all their lives, for one good excuse to haul off and hurt someone. You think probably every woman here could kick Tyler Durden’s ass, and would love to.

    Summary

There’s a crackling noise, then the quiet hiss of speakers as a voice comes from— somewhere. Everywhere? He’s not entirely sure of the source, but it fills the cabin, the first sound in a long time that’s not of his own creation.

“Mr. Blackwood.” It’s low, clipped, devoid of all inflection; Martin still gets the sense that the speaker is irritated with him, somehow.

    (Martin, on the Daedalus.)
