Steve is a clumsy and failed wizard, working as a shop-hand for potion master Erskine. His days consist of pining after Tony Stark, hanging out with his best friend Bucky, rearranging the potion ingredients in the back room, and generally feeling inadequate because of his appearance and magical abilities.
One evening, an accident involving pixie dust and changeling hair turns him into a 6’ 3'’ Adonis. Of course, the first thing he does is go to Erskine so he can get changed back, but as fate would have it, he stumbles across Tony who doesn’t realize he’s the same Steve who has been selling him potion ingredients for the past three years.

On the void between, tiny and endless, a crack of pitch blackness in the building that eyes never saw and a finger couldn’t fit into, but a void all the same. “Do you… want to talk about that?” he asked, his voice quiet and low and cautious.

“Uh huh,” James says, but he’s smirking. Steve still looks a bit wary as he sits down next to James, but not like he’s going to step in. Good, she’d hate to be lectured by the symbol of American freedom. “These better be complimentary memes.”
