Summary
Guizhong is the Lady of Death, whose sole duty is to ferry the souls of those who die at sea to the afterlife.
Zhongli is the fresh-faced Navy recruit she fished from a shipwreck out of pity and guilt.
By all means, they should have parted and gone their separate ways, never to meet again. After she had seen him off at the docks of Liyue Harbour, he should have vanished from her life forever, disillusioned by the reality of life at sea. He had instead told her they would meet again.
And he was right.

So begins a whirlwind of reunions between Liyue's past and present, and how to approach the future.
Takes place before 2.6/Perilous Trail. Written before 3.4!

Her eyebrows tilt up as if asking Navia for the world and Navia hates how her chest clenches at the simple recognition that this is the woman who killed her father.
