Summary
After no contact for almost a decade, Thorin decides (is forced by Balin) to write to the Company’s hobbit and announce his trip to the Blue Mountains, which leads him through the Shire.
Because of reasons, he doesn’t send the letter until the day of his departure from the Lonely Mountain and thus does not know if the Burglar wants to even see him again.
But he has asked for a sign whether he is welcome in Bilbo’s home (and heart): for the hobbit to tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree atop his smial.
And now he dreads what he will find when he finally crests that last hill between Hobbiton and Bag End… -

Summary
Many years ago, a feeble lad and a future king meet in the streets of Ered Luin.
Or: When Thorin bought Nori for the night, he never thought that he would still have to explain his motives (and innocence) 45 years later, but, on second thought, he could have gone about that whole thing in a better way. But really, he actually had just wanted to sleep. No one made sound decisions after two days without rest!
(Turns out, this was one of the best choices he had ever made, though.)Series

Soon, he has to question who to trust and no choice but to delve deep into the dark and gory underworld of Ered Luin.
Or: Let’s play a game called “How long can I keep Dwalin from finding out Nori’s name?” :D

But back then, their roles had been reversed, and the other dwarf had been the one at Dwalin’s mercy.

Summary
Danny can see ghosts. Plain as day, right in front him. He’s always been able to see them - it’s his gift. But if you ask him, it feels more like a curse.
When Rachel moved to Hawaii and Danny followed, he decided to hide his gift. If people or ghosts knew about it, they’d take advantage, they’d use him. And he was sick of that. So instead, he gave up being a cop and bought a bookstore where he could spend more time alone and fewer dead people bothered him.
When he’s visited by the ghost of a brutally murdered man, he puts in an anonymous tip about his killers but unbeknownst to Danny, Five-0 has immunity and means, and the head of the task force, Steve McGarrett, isn’t above hunting down someone to make them less anonymous. Before long, Danny finds himself consulting and going undercover with McGarrett, putting himself back into the dangerous situations he used to face as a cop. The things he’ll do to help a ghost cross over…

“I understand that this operation is important to the safety of the citizens of Oahu, Detective, but the education of my students is my top priority. So while it’s… admirable that HPD took the time to send me someone who isn’t a complete dunce in the subject of economics, the question I have for you is: is your ability to teach up to our university's standards?”
