    He tries to take a step forward to get out of this corner hes been pushed into, but he's interrupted by Tony moving forward, blocking his way. Gregory's breath catches in his throat as he almost runs into his chest. His converse are streaked and dirty, and his jeans are worn and faded.

    He looks up, and sees Tony already staring intently at him, blue eyes studying his face.

    "What's your deal?"

     

    Or: Gregory, sent back in time by some higher power by over a year and on top of that stuck in a timeloop, finds out that the person he's mourned and grieved for months after learning about his death is alive and well in the time he was transported back to.

From teachers, peers, friends, and family; from strangers at the store or in the waiting room at the doctor’s office. The one thing all the looks have in common is that they are never good. Always contemptuous, or disgusted, repulsed or anger-filled.

    And they all create the same toxic-chemical reaction of shame and dread in his chest.
