A single, deft hand captured your wrists, easily pinning them above your head, into the mattress. Your fingers twitched against the soft cotton of your sheets as you tested the hold, but the grip was immovable. Heat dripped and pooled inside of you like warmed honey as a dark, clothed knee slid between your legs to nudge them apart. Briefly, you tried to clamp your thighs closed, but the knee between yours prevented the feeble attempt. You squeezed your eyes shut, hoping to will yourself awake — this couldn’t be real.
“This is no dream, little one,” a low voice murmured softly, answering your unasked question.
Your eyes snapped open to meet a striking blue gaze glimmering with endless galaxies and pale skin illuminated by the moonlight that poured in through your window. His finger stroked a line from your wrist down your arm. Your lips parted as a delicious shiver ran along the length of your spine and your flesh rippled in goosebumps.
“Wh-What are you doing?” you managed to say. “I don’t have much, but you can take whatever you want.”
“I have no need for mortal possessions.” A deep hum emanated from his chest, a dark rumble of amusement. “I desire you.”

She knows Billy noticed how unmoored she’d become, because the shithead notices everything these days from how she takes her coffee to when she forgets to replace the toilet paper roll. She thinks he was waiting, waiting until she wasn’t so adrift to ask her to make something with him again. It’s considerate, but annoys her on principal.
Still. He wrote her a line. Daisy considers this with a small smile.

And he’d laugh and laugh, like it was funny.
Bob had never thought it was funny. But he’d learned early on to laugh along.

When Bob tries out a new solution for his wellbeing, he's advised by Barnes to keep to a schedule and avoid any variables.
