"Did you want to see me, Her Highness?" Yonghwa said with feigned innocence while the maid next to her cowered, her gaze fixed on the floor as if the slightest movement of her body could unleash the Queen's rage on her.
"You've been quite the seductress lately, haven't you?" Minhee said, her voice laced with venom and disdain.
"I'm just doing my job as His Majesty’s concubine, Her Highness," Yonghwa simply stated in a lighthearted tone, much like a child who had no remorse for what they had done and was attempting to shift the blame to something or someone else, and Minhee could see the maid's muscles tense at Yonghwa's blatant arrogance.
Minhee glared at Yonghwa, then she moved her gaze to the servant who stood motionless by the door, like a prey attempting to avoid detection by the hunter.
"You're dismissed. Tell the servants and the rest of the palace not to knock at this door until Yonghwa has left this room. It's a direct order from the Queen."
