Before the Adeptus can think, the bard swoops right in, taking the initiative to close the distance between them.
He can taste the Almond Tofu and the Osmanthus flowers, but it’s the whisper of blooming Windwheel Asters on a windy day that soothes the itch he didn’t know he was aching for.
Or Xiao is hiding something, and so is Venti.
The severity of these secrets couldn't be more different.One is 'commissioned' by a certain Wine Master to... authenticate a rather peculiar relic; the other is arranging a surprise gift. Go figure.

Venti’s ears, and consequently his whole posture, perk up at the Traveler’s invitation.
“Like I said before, I have no liking for crowds.”
And just like that, Venti felt himself falling from the sky—just like a lead balloon.
“I must remain vigilant of evil attacks, especially during the holidays. I will continue my patrol as usual.”
Venti already knows that is the case—that Xiao would go nowhere near the hustle and bustle of the Harbor, with or without the festivities.
Yet, hearing the Yaksha say his plans out loud… He couldn’t help sighing and becoming more deflated as he already is.OR, Venti realizes that a Lantern Rite Date with Xiao isn't as clear-cut as it seems; Xiao is in a state of perpetual confusion and discovery; and both are figuring out what to do with themselves and each other.
