Summary
Marc really should have retired after Sepang 2015, or moved to another planet.
It’s 2016, his relationship with his once idol-mentor-benchmark-turned-rival is in shambles, the public has decided he’s the villain of the decade, and then (because the universe is nothing if not consistent), he bins it at Phillip Island. Hard.
When he wakes up, Marc finds himself in 2008.
Shit.
The era where Valentino Rossi is still beloved. The Fantastic Four is still at large. MotoGP hasn’t learned to hate Marc Márquez yet, which is unfortunate, because Marc is eighteen years old, racing under a name that is almost his, and trying very hard not to exist.
The plan is simple: try his best to not grab attention, go home, don’t make eye contact with Valentino Rossi, don’t alter the timeline, and absolutely do not get attached, especially not to people Marc knows he can’t save.
This plan fails immediately.
(Or: Marc Márquez crashes in Phillip Island 2016 and wakes up in the Fantastic Four era, where history is intact and Marc is once again everyone’s problem.)

Lewis took exactly three seconds to blink at Nico, one to shoot a look at their ringleader, and a fifth to swing.
His fist collided with Nico's nose with a satisfyingly sickening crunch. The fucker had called him a half-blood. Half, like they were back in the olden days or something. So what if his dad was Black and his mom was White? Didn't change shit. He was still Lewis.
Nico staggered back, hissing through his teeth, one hand clamped over his face. Blood snaked down his wrist, coiled off his chin, and splattered against the asphalt—pat, pat, pat. Lewis watched it go, itching for a second round. Fucking prick. Served him right.
"Say that again," Lewis growled. "Say it again, you fucking—"
Mark stepped in between them before Nico could recover, palms up in a weary mate, come on gesture.
"What Nico meant to say," he grumbled, "was that you're a demigod."

Attending ParkCiv High wasn't for the weak. In order to survive, you had to abide by what was expected of your social group. Even being at the very top meant that eyes were constantly on you, and more importantly, those bitter at the bottom were waiting for you to slip up and fall down to their layer. Not that Evbo knew anything about being anywhere near the top of ParkCiv's social hierarchy, though he'd certainly dreamed of somehow managing to rise the ranks, despite it never having been done before.
It isn't until he's tasked to observe social dynamics and is paired up by default with a classmate he's never met before (and soon realises he can't stand) that he both finally discovers the truth to ranking up, and how, maybe, being at the top wasn't nearly as fun as it looked from the bottom.
