Summary
It’s 2008 and Draco Malfoy is a secret assassin. It's legitimate - he gets paid for it, and some higher ups in the Ministry (probably?) know he’s out there… killing people. He’s quite good, but that tracks with his dubious accounting of rights and wrongs and his penchant for self-preservation. During his downtime he does a great job of acting like a pureblood in penance... mostly by drinking and shagging his way into oblivion.
This double life helps to numb Draco to the constant feelings of shame and guilt from his formative years in which he was an utter cunt- but everything is upended when his team (assassins can have coworkers, alright?) dies in action and he does not. Suspended and forced to go to therapy, Draco is adrift.
When Hermione Granger re-enters the fray, their hateful relationship that was once fraught with swotty bickering (erm, and the occasional slur) is suddenly tense in a very different way.
How will these two come together? How often will Theo say something terribly charming? Do we hate Ron or is Ron just, meh? Oh, and what’s going on with that one murderous witch who’s out to kill them all (forgot to mention that part…)?

Summary
This is a Hogwarts rendition of the late 90's classic 10 Things I Hate About You.
Hermione Granger never expected to survive the war, let alone end up back at Hogwarts for her eighth year without her core group of friends by her side. Ron Weasley had turned out to be a rather terrible boyfriend. She didn't know if it was because of what happened to Lavender during the final battle, or if it was way before then, but he wasn't the man she'd become friends with all those years ago any longer.
Draco Malfoy didn't know what to do anymore. Everything he'd ever been told before Voldemort had returned had been a lie. He knew it right when he'd first realized what that curly headed Gryffindor was. He spent all of his previous years at Hogwarts fighting the feelings for the Muggleborn. Throwing slurs her way and scorning her at every opportunity, but he was done fighting now. That didn't mean however that he was going to act on them. At least if he had anything to say about it.
He didn't, the Unbreakable Vow made sure of that. He might have lost his freedom of choice in the matter, but now he was going to do everything in his power to win the heart of a certain Golden Girl.

DRACO MALFOY IS DIRECTIONLESS, unless crashing and burning qualifies as moving in a direction. He’s perfectly content to piss away his time in pubs and dark alleys until his debauchery becomes too public. Wizengamot-mandated therapy is the last stop before Azkaban. If imbibing is off the table, terrorising his Healer might be the next best thing.
HERMIONE GRANGER IS NO LONGER AT THE TOP OF HER CLASS, and truth be told, it rankles. Proving the validity of her experimental research will finally allow her to move forward. And she’ll be damned if she lets a certain blond-haired ponce hold her back from the success of this study.
This is a story of redemption and forgiveness, with a good deal of pining, prose, and wanking along the way.

Summary

During the cold, hopeless nights of the war, Hermione liked to imagine what her life would be like after their side came out victorious. History is written by the victors, after all. She spun a happy tale for herself with a boy she loved.
Though now that she’s here, her story would read more like a tragedy.
The celebrations were grand, the parties and ceremonies dotted with tired smiles and laughter from her friends turned comrades turned acquaintances. Happiness took place all around her, all the while the spirit she once held so steadfastly melted, slowly dripping into the ground beneath her feet until she was hollow. Hermione tried to be polite in her grief, she didn’t want to ruin it for everyone.
