Summary
Originally posted to my tumblr, @sparring-spirals. Post epilogue, Yasha, Jester, and Beau are all having a slumber party of sorts, and Beau finally gets around to thanking Jester for the Sendings.
Feat: Beau and her abandonment issues, the Mighty Nein all being in various forms of casual contact because /of course/, Jester and her furious, unstoppable brand of love, Yasha not understanding how sending/message works, and mudslinging. (Not a metaphor). Short and sweet.

Summary
“This could kill us,” he says.
Essek’s hold on his hand tightens. Eadwulf presses his forehead against Caleb’s right temple and closes his eyes like he is reminding himself that they’re both real. Astrid laughs, a low, wounded sound.
“Then it kills us,” she says. The first five years after Trent, they rip the world apart and sew it back together again with crooked, bloody stitches.

Summary
She'd wrapped her arms around Orym then. She wraps her arms around him now, whispers into his ear, and oh, dear. Wet tear-lines are tumbling from her eyes too. Everything feels just horrible.
We can't do this by ourselves, she says, but she knows he will know it's far from a selfless plea. Fearne has always been a bit selfish, and she's fine with that. Can you please come back? I'm getting a little scared.
He comes back. Somehow, she brings him back. And then -
- oh, then, the guilt starts to tumble in. Because Laudna is still gone on the ground, and the sound that leaves Imogen's mouth is an apocalypse in miniature.

Some mornings, he expects to see the narrow walls of a Bureau storage cupboard, but he listens to the voices drifting up from the street, familiar laughter from the rooms below, feels the blanket curled over his shoulders, until he can convince himself it’s safe to open his eyes.

Summary
"We made mud pies as kids, yeah," Chris adds slowly, like he's trying not to scare you. "But we also, like, buried bodies and broke bones and bypassed the mortal coil as teenagers, so. I was sort of expecting you might remember that?"
"Buried bodies?" you ask.
"More than you'd want, less than you'd expect," Chris says with a shrug.
"I'd expect zero bodies buried."
