Summary
White’s father had been telling him to forget about his brother for the past ten years. “I’m sure Black has forgotten about you by now,” he’d say. As if. He knew his brother would be a stranger, but it was still his brother. Black would be happy to see him again after ten years, maybe fondly exasperated that it had been so long.
He didn’t think Black would look at him with absolutely no recognition. But their father was right. Black had long since forgotten him, twelve years of childhood memories completely erased when White left.
Black didn’t even know he had a brother, anymore.

“Alan and I were having a pretty good time, actually,” the stranger across the table said with a smile. “Do you mind?”

Summary
White drowned himself in the river and his brother didn’t come. He lost count of the times he drowned himself before he realized Black wasn’t ever going to come get him. Black clearly didn’t want White around. And White wanted his brother to be happy, and this was what his brother wanted, so White went back to his father.
Now Black didn’t want his baby brother to be hurt, but he wanted him safe. And White went home, which was all Black ever wanted, so why did everything feel so fucking wrong?

He just needed some time. He was going to explode. He didn’t even know what the problem was. Everything with Vegas was perfect, so why couldn’t Pete be happy?
When Pete said he wanted space, Vegas was supposed to know it was a lie. When Pete left in the middle of the night, Vegas was supposed to drag him back him home, like a lost dog waiting for his owner. When Pete broke his heart, Vegas was supposed to know that Pete still loved him.

Summary

When the Butcher of Blaviken walks into his hideout, he's convinced he's found the perfect candidate - and a convenient way to get rid of the pesky bard that's been singing his praises.
Jaskier is forced to agree witchers are not human, but that doesn't mean they're dangerous. In fact, he's astounded by how many of Geralt's uncontrolled impulses involve touching.
