Now that the entire party is settled around the table, deep into the Christmas-but-not-really-Christmas-themed campaign, Will is having second thoughts. He brings his head up from his character sheet to glance at Mike, who peers back at him from over the master’s screen.
Will doesn’t know entirely what the campaign entails, but he knows what happens at the end, regardless of the players' actions. They are hurtling towards the end concerningly quickly.
“Can I roll for stabbing Lucas?”
Will and Mike have been dating for two months, but haven't told the party yet. They decide to break the news in a very Will-and-Mike way: via D&D-campaign.

Midoriya Izuku ended up exactly where everyone said he would. Quirkless, in a dead end job, working overtime just to barely make rent and drowning in debt up to his eyeballs. He’s just lucky any hospital would hire him, even as unskilled labor.
Bakugo Katsuki ended up exactly where everyone said he would, too. The number fifteen pro hero at only 25 years old, with his face plastered all over the country on TV screens and billboards. He’s… not miserable, exactly, because Bakugo Katsuki is never miserable, but he fucking hates the attention.
TLDR; Quirkless nurse aide Izuku reunites with pro hero Dynamight in a soup line for the homeless. Izuku’s there for the soup. Dynamight’s there to rehab his image. It’s… awkward isn’t the word.

“Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”
Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.
Shit.
Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.
A story told over five acts which leans heavily into the pain of three characters, with Katsuki's anguish being the focal-point. The happy ending and eventual comfort to the hurt exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story will be gut-wrenching to read most of the chapters. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.
Oh, and the title of the fic is in part inspired by the song Scorpio Rising by Soccer Mommy, and also in part by, well, astrology.
