Summary
Pinned down by semi-automatic fire behind the wet bar in the poolhouse, Vegas is delighted that he and Pete make an extremely good team. They’ve been crouched behind the marble bar for two and a half hours. The last two Yakuza are stuck behind the heavy stone coffee table on the other side of the room.
It’s a cat-and-mouse game, waiting to see who will make a run across the expansive polished floor of the poolhouse, a shooting gallery, first. Vegas’ phone chirped to alert him that Macau was in the panic room just before a bullet whizzed through it. Pete’s is in his jacket on the bike. But if their opponents had comms, backup would have arrived by now.
Any other accomplice might be panicking, suggesting that they try to make a break for it. Pete is sitting back on his heels, his gun held ready in his hand, calm and loose. He and Vegas took out the first six men in a blood-soaked blink, so smooth that it might as well have been choreographed. Their waiting here together is just as easy.

The shirt he assumes, is Porsche's idea of a joke. A funny little tongue in cheek reflection on what he actually thinks of Pete’s relationship with Vegas. Some type of social commentary designed to make fun of Vegas while proving a point.

He would often describe Pete as a puppy. Most of the time he was sweet and soft but other times, like when he was told no, Vegas compared him to a spoiled puppy, one who always got what they wanted and if they didn’t, would sit in the corner, acting like their owner had put them in time out. Sometimes, Vegas would put Pete in a time out of sorts.
His little love loved attention and affection. Vegas had quickly learned he was also obsessed with it. Outside of Macau, he had never shown anyone affection. Not his father nor his cousins. He had loved to hug his mother and hold her hand but after she died, only Macau was left. With Pete, it had become a rare sight if the two weren’t attached to each other somehow. In the car, Vegas put his hands on Pete’s thigh. During meetings, Vegas would keep Pete as close as possible, often lining the seams of their bodies up. Even when they were just sitting in the bed, Pete was often laying on him, whether his head on Vegas’ lap while he read or in between his legs while his hair was stroked.
