'It wasn't that Dorian wanted to snoop, per se.
Solas' casual sexual escapades, as absurd as it was that he even had them in the first place, were not something he should have cared about. And he didn't, not really — his interest was purely for blackmail reasons, which were not above him. He was going to stay just enough to sneak a peek at whomever the other person was, only so he could pester Solas about his taste in freaky moonlit flings, and that would be it.'Dorian tries to do some late night, quiet research in the library. Solas and Lavellan have plans of their own.

There was not a single cloud in the sky, and the late afternoon breeze that blew from the open window was warm and pleasant. It shifted the curtain gently, making the orange light of a sun that’s just starting to set peek in, dancing and moving over the small room like rippling water. He was suddenly so very aware of himself – of the way his work clothes reeked of the foul waters of the docks, of the way his arms ached with a day’s worth of fatigue, of the dirt caked underneath his fingernails. He was suddenly so very aware of his military service uniform, tucked away underneath his bed in a trunk covered in dust and cobwebs.'
The war spares no one. Martin Blackwood has to come to terms with that fact, before it kills him faster than any weapon.

Summary
While in Emprise du Lion, Solas and Sera find themselves trapped in a complex cave system. With limited supplies and only each other to depend on, will they be able to make it out? To further complicate matters, there are many risks in these caves... some more surprising than others.

“Aren’t we friends, Solas?”
This seems to startle him enough that he turns to look at Varric. In the dimness of the tent his eyes reflect the light from the fire outside, like a wild animal.
“I would call us that, yes."
“Then won’t you share whatever burden is pressing you down with me? That’s what friends are for, you know.”
“Not this one." Varric sighs.
“Come on, Chuckles. I’ll get back out there and get the Inquisitor to spill it, but it seems like a waste when I’m already here.”
Solas is quiet for a long moment—he has shifted around again, so Varric can only see the rise and fall of his back as he breathes, carefully controlled.
“I am… compromised,” he says. Varric waits. “That damned plant, combined with an errant spell—I have… urges. And I can’t—it is—” He cuts himself off, frustrated, and isn’t that a wonder, Solas out of words? And then,
“Urges?” Varric stifles a laugh. “Do you mean—”
“You know what I mean, dwarf,” Solas hisses, and Varric realizes that his neck is red and the tips of his ears have gone pink, and that the air in the tent is warm and stuffy and a little heady, all of a sudden. He clears his throat.
