Summary
In the lull following their battle with the Angel of Irons cult, the Nein have an unprecedented period of rest. Beauregard, as is her custom, throws herself into her research. After countless nights of dead ends, her patience runs thin, and she itches to let off steam in the best way she knows how - a good old fashioned bar fight. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
Thankfully, she has a few friends to help patch her up.

Wyll stood in the cool squalor of night, nursing a sad goblet of the tiefling refugees’ best wine as he stewed in his own misery.
Just days ago, he had been nestled among them, teaching their children the necessary tools of defense. In the days after the mind flayers had forced an Illithid tadpole into his eye, Wyll found himself scrambling for purpose — to find a way to prove himself useful despite the horror that had chased him. He had been a piece of a larger puzzle, a valiant hero fulfilling his sacred duty: he had been the Blade of Frontiers!
Now, in the biting air of the night, he just felt spurned.
Provoke the Blade, suffer its sting.
Wyll kicked the tip of his foot against the sandy soil of the riverbed. Then he kicked it again, for good measure.

Summary
“Hey. Breathe.”
Dream does. He inhales through his mouth, and blows the soft air back out. Real air. Living air. It pours down his throat like fresh water, and tastes just like it always has- London air. Human air. The hand on his shoulder loosens.
“Again,” the voice orders, and he obeys without question.
His vision is starting to clear now, and he is beginning to adjust to the darkness.
A face starts to take shape before him. A real face, painfully human.
“Okay?” Hob asks.
(The Sandman, but things go a bit differently. A pigeon flies in front of a car several years early. Hob Gadling happens to be in the right place at the right time. The Dreaming doesn't let its master back in, for whatever reason.
Basically, I rewrite the whole story from the orb escape onwards.Wish me luck.)
