Summary
Zhongli has spent his life building up the Liyue Association for the Protection of Indigenous Species (or LAPIS for short), a centre aimed at rescuing and conserving various species of Teyvat's wildlife.
When an injured mer called Childe is brought to the sanctuary after being confiscated from a collector, Zhongli finds himself in a race against time to earn Childe's trust and figure out what is ailing him before Childe succumbs to his injuries.
Slowly, Zhongli reaches up and presses his palm to the glass.
Childe does not flinch, bolt, nor flee. Instead, he raises his hand, close enough now that the translucent silver-grey half-webbing between his fingers becomes visible, the small stretch of skin that reaches between the first joint of each finger, while leaving his thumb free for object manipulation, an adaptation providing the mer both the propulsion power of a marine species, along with the dexterity of a human. He touches his index finger to the glass at the same spot as Zhongli’s, and there they stand, human and mer, a connection as rare and precious as gold dust.

Summary
“My Eleventh.” Her tone softened. “You understand, then, what I am asking of you? This operation will not be easy, nor will it be quick.“
All too well, as Tartaglia had never been known as one to accept the easiest option, anyway.
“I understand, Your Majesty. Your will is mine.”
~
After a career-ending injury, Tartaglia, the Eleventh Harbinger, is sent to Liyue under the guise of a new concubine within the Imperial Harem to investigate the rumors of an assassination plot against the Emperor. Fighting off assassins, he could do, but pretending to be a concubine? Not so much.

Summary
“Look at me, child,” the Tsaritsa murmurs, and runs her fingers down Tartaglia’s cheek. He meets her silver eyes and feels lighter somehow. “Would you travel to Liyue for me? Answer.”
“Yes. Anywhere,” he answers.
“Would you claim Morax’s gnosis for me? Would you slay him if need be? Answer.”
“Yes,” he breathes, giddy at the prospect.
She grips his face, fingers like rusty nails.
“I have sent a proposal of your hand in marriage to Morax’s court. It has already been accepted. You sail for Liyue in one week. The beast will wed the beast, creep in close, and wait to strike. Do you understand? Answer.”
“Of course, my queen,” he hears his voice say, but his mind says, What?
~
Tartaglia is wed to the Sunset Emperor of Liyue.

Summary
With a supreme gnosis in hand, Arlecchino expected at least one disturbance to find her ship at sea. And when considering her vessel’s additional consignment of the recovering Eleventh Harbinger, Tartaglia, something interesting was bound to happen, wasn’t it?
And now… some remarkably poor weather due north has necessitated a brief layover in Liyue’s pleasant harbor. All seems quiet, until a shift in her recovering comrade’s behavior has the Knave questioning the intents of a mysterious man who invites himself aboard, seemingly bent on disturbing Tartaglia.

A week before Ajax turns 23, he almost floods a country.
Almost is the key word there, but he doesn't think anyone cares for him pointing it out.
Injured, seething, and heartbroken, Ajax can’t even lick his wounds in solitude — there’s still work to be done, bridges to mend. With opportunists at every corner, he can trust no one but himself, no matter what his heart begs him to consider.

Summary
Perhaps the hurt had been too deep that he wanted to forget everything—that even in his ideal world there was no Zhongli, no dinners, nothing. Just his quiet lost world where all that’s left are the people who loved him.
Perhaps Zhongli should leave him here after all.
But he can’t. He can’t leave Childe here. He can’t look at him in the eye, his face pleased and open, thinking that he belonged here when he did not. At some point the Abyss will eat him alive. At some point he might not even be a person anymore. And what would Childe do then, being one of the monsters of the Abyss? He had been here before. The Abyss would not let him escape a second time.
OR: It is an unspoken fact that the Abyss takes anything and everything so as long as they can keep it. In this case, the Abyss takes Childe and gives him what he wants—a world in which he doesn’t hurt and a village that he believes he has lived his whole life in.
That is until a new villager called Zhongli appears in his life. And suddenly, Childe doesn’t know what’s real anymore. Especially when Zhongli claims that Childe knows him even when Childe has never met him before.

Summary
Childe's life post the Osial incident has settled into something of normalcy. He has a comfortable (if not a bit boring) 9-5 job at the bank, he has loads of free time to waste, and he gets to experience whatever Liyue has to offer, at his own pace, frequently accompanied by Zhongli.
However, this idyllic picture is shattered the day Childe receives a letter from the Tsaritsa, summoning him back to Snezhnaya, immediately.
He is crushed by the news. He has expected it – it was bound to happen, eventually, but the message still daunts him. How is he supposed to say goodbye to Liyue so suddenly? How is he going to say goodbye to Zhongli, the only person he can call a friend?
To his surprise, the god offers to travel with him, and so they set on a journey to the northern lands of everwinter. They just forget about one important thing – reptiles don’t do well in freezing cold.
Which is why Childe now has to deal with his own grumpy Archon, the constant scheming and bickering of the other Harbingers, and a very sleepy and very clingy dragon.

Summary
And as if it wasn’t bad enough that Anthon was already reading in that familiar, lilting cadence of his, it gets even worse when Childe notes the book glowing brighter and brighter, the pages hissing so loudly that Childe swears it’s starting to cough out smoke. It is. The book sputters and sparks, tips catching on flames, and an explosion erupts into the air while Childe nearly careens into the nearby wall. There’s more screeches—Teucer’s joyous ones, Anthon’s surprised ones—and Childe has precisely ten seconds to get himself together when he sees what appears before him.
There is a man standing there, hand curled over a large golden spear, twisting his head at them. He lands his eyes on Childe.
“Hm?” The man says and Childe knows exactly who this is.
Oh fuck, he thinks and hurtles towards his siblings’ bed before they can think of anything else.
OR: Childe and his siblings have a magical power that runs through their family: the ability to summon out living and non-living things from books so as long as they read a book out loud.
His siblings accidentally read out a dragon god.

Summary
Anne looked upon the swirl of new faces, and felt her heart abruptly stop, caught somewhere between her chest and the stratosphere. Near the front of the line of officers was a woman, dressed in the fine-cut regalia of a Sky-Ship Captain, her step steady and assured, her face a picture of cool confidence.
It was a face that had seen more years and winds since Anne had last set eyes upon it—but she would have known it anywhere.Bookmarked by stxrfall (typeos)

"I believe that I have been waiting for you for a very long time."
"Really? But, didn't you just get here, too? I thought I saw you round the corner."
"Shall we walk together until the end?"
"Until the end of what?" Childe chased after Zhongli's retreating back. "The pier?"
But Zhongli did not answer. He was too busy trying to quell the chorus of voices in his own mind.
At 9:35 AM on a Tuesday morning in October, Zhongli's human heart fell head over heels in love at first sight.

Summary
“Kabru has the kind of striking beauty that would make him especially interesting to someone who has dedicated their life to the arts,” Marcille maintains the clinical edge in her voice.
Something stirs in Laios, an unease of sorts.
It must read as confusion on his face, because Marcille gives him a look.
“Kabru is to artists what monsters are to you,” she puts it more bluntly.
“Oh,” Laios mutters.
And so unto the kingdom, the royal painter declared, ‘At long last, I have found my muse.’
Laios just has to deal with it.

It happened very suddenly, with not even a polite warning.
One moment Kabru was at the long table in the main dining hall, chatting animatedly with Falin and tearing apart a piece of manchet bread to eat with his stew, and then next, his brain was informing him of a hard, unflinching truth.
You do know he will never see you that way, right? That this will never go beyond friends?

Summary
It really is an unfortunate thing, knowing that Zhongli is surprisingly good with his brother and trying to ignore that. In fact, just watching the way he takes care of Teucer puts something into Childe’s heart—something that feels suspiciously like Feelings—and he’s not about to look too closely into it unless he really, really has to.
Until Zhongli looks up from playing with Teucer and smiles saying, “Childe, he just told me he likes me,” and you know what, it’s time to revise that mindset. Feelings Do Matter and Childe’s about to toss himself off a building.

<EXCERPT FROM “The Excavation of the Empirical Jade and Gold: How Two Emperors United and were Erased from History” 206 B.C.–220 A.D”>
…Unsurprisingly given their deviances from the norm, Emperor Morax and Emperor Tartaglia were essentially bleached from history. Their totems were taken down, their graves wiped clean, their notes and drawers completely burnt, and even their preferred bedrooms torn down immediately. All to protect the Lapis and Snezhnayan dynasties. But after the reveal of ‘Letters to Zhongli’, it seems that even troublemakers can’t remove them. Especially if the two people just so happened to retire to a remote village and just so happened to have left their historical artifacts/letters/etc where no aristocracy knows, well… that makes all the difference doesn’t it?
OR: How the sudden appearance of historical proof between two emperors propels an author to write a bestselling book on how Emperor Tartaglia and Morax were not in fact just friends with each other, but lovers.

Dottore raised his eyes to his team.
“We cannot fix Tartaglia-11 in two days Sir, what can we do?” Nadia cautiously spoke, trying not to incite the wrath of Dottore.
Dottore quietly cursed, before picking up his phone again and calling a number which had been forgotten for a very, long, time.
“You want me to do what?"
In which Ajax takes the place of 'Tartaglia-11', Zhongli's new all-purpose android. But the other man is still a mystery to him, always wearing gloves and avoiding people where possible. He soon finds out that Zhongli has a severe allergy to humans, but in that case... why is he fine touching Ajax?

"It is calming, I suppose. To be here.”
