They haven’t even started working out yet and Eddie can already feel himself perspirating.
See Eddie has never felt emotions quite like this. Quickly after realizing he was, in fact, gay, he realized he was demisexual as well. He needs an emotional connection. He can appreciate objective attraction, but he doesn’t feel physical attraction unless there’s something there already.
This level of attraction and subsequent horniness is incredibly new territory for him. See, he’s been horny before. But never this horny. He never thought he was capable of this level of desperation.
But this is Buck we’re talking about. His best friend, basically his co-parent, and long-time work partner. There’s a connection there and it is going fucking haywire.
His best friend’s voice snaps him out of his trance. “Hey Eddie, you ready for this? Just because you’ve been busy with therapy, doesn’t mean I’m letting you slack off today.” Buck smiles brightly and claps a hand on his back before walking over to a nearby bench. His back starts tingling.
Eddie is not ready for this.

Eddie Diaz is a selfless person. He always prioritizes other people over his own, even if it is to his detriment. This is his journey of realization, learning, growing, and acceptance, as he goes on a journey to take back control of his life, away from the sharp claws of his fears.

Summary
Buck has, he’s always seen Eddie as the sun. Still does. But it really makes Buck blind to when he’s struggling. Especially because Eddie has a tendency to brush it off or keep it to himself until it becomes unbearable and blows up in his face. But thankfully, he’s actually asking for help this time. Or trying to, at least.
“Hey,” he says softly, rubbing Eddie’s arms. “I got you.”
“Apparently I’m touch starved,” he says, trying for a sassy tone. But it comes out squeaky and raw.
And. Oh.
Buck’s pulling him into an embrace before his brain even finishes processing it, no intention of letting go anytime soon. Eddie sighs again, content this time. And god. Buck really is never letting him go.
