Jinx became what Powder wasn't: A fierce, fear-inspiring firebender. And yet, at the spirits' insistence, she still has to become something else.
Under the mask of the Blue Phoenix, enemies became friends, and her life grew more complicated than ever.
(In ATLA, Zuko wears his Blue Spirit mask and goes out to do secret stuff. In this fic, Jinx does the same thing and accidentally befriends the Firelights.)

EP209 - Between the moment Ekko stops Jinx from killing herself and the one they appear for the Battle against Noxus, he brings her to the Camp of the Firelight. Between his duties to a people ready to go to war, Ekko has to watch his oldest friend go adrift in her mind while she finds no place for herself in this safe heaven which is, despite the end of the world closing in, too perfect for her.
They can't pretend nothing happened. Ekko can't lie and tell her everything will be okay. But he would do anything to keep her tethered to the real world, to him, to life; for her to hold on one more night.
