Summary
It's the summer of 1989, and Alvin Seville should be on top of the world. He's young, popular, and a chart sensation. But as the Chipmunks begin filming the ultimate documentary on their lives and careers he starts to realise there's trouble in paradise. His music career is long behind him and half-forgotten, the Seville siblings are starting to grow apart, and a future of mediocrity stretches out before him. When he learns about a prestigious battle of the bands in New York Alvin spots his shot back to the halls of rock n' roll royalty. But as the Chipmunks start to grow up it appears fate has other plans.
This is an Alvin-centric fic but with significant subplots for Simon and Theodore, and regular appearances from the Chipettes. There might be song elements later on (sorry not sorry). Best effort's been made to represent the tail-end of the 80s as semi-accurately as possible. Attempts made to stick to the tone if not the content of the original show.
